HOW TO REGISTER

 

ATHLETICS SUMMER SEASON REGISTRATION

NEW MEMBERS

If you are a new member, follow the steps on the LAVic webpage for 'New Members' and make sure to choose Craigieburn Little Athletics Centre as your local centre. 

 

If you are considering a free two week trial, simply click on Register for a Trial and follow the prompts. You can pay the fee after your free trial is completed.  Your two week free trial starts on the day you first attend a competition day and includes the training sessions.

If you choose to register without taking up the trial offer, refunds are not offered by LAVic or Craigieburn Little Athletics.

 

On the first day of competition come along with Proof of Age (such as a birth certificate, passport) and Proof of Payment (if you have paid).  Once your registration is complete and payment is made, you can organise uniforms and your child’s registration tag.

 

RETURNING MEMBERS

If you are a returning member, follow the steps on the LAVic webpage for 'Returning Members' and make sure to select Craigieburn Little Athletics Centre.  On the first day of competition come along with Proof of Payment (no need for Proof of Age documentation as it would have been previously supplied).

 

Once your registration is complete and payment is made, you can organise uniforms and collect your child’s registration tag.

AGE GROUPs

Little Athletics is open to any child five years or older (check this Age Group Calculator).  Age groups for the 2023/2024 Season are based on how old an athlete is as at 31 December 2023. From 1 January 2024, an athlete must have turned 5 before being able to register.

 

UNDER 6s

 

Four year old athletes who are turning 5 years old on or before 31 December 2023 are eligible to participate and compete in Little Athletics activities in the U6 group at the commencement of the 2023/2024 Season.   

 

Athletes turning 5 years old after 31 December 2023 can commence participation on or after their 5th birthday and will compete as an U6 athlete for the remainder of the season.  They will also be in the U6 age group for the subsequent season.

FEE STRUCTURE

The registration fee includes the cost of registration with Little Athletics Victoria and insurance.  Our component of the fee is used to cover expenses such as hiring Sprint Athletics Centre, utility costs, equipment upgrades/replacement and administrative costs.

 

The registration fee includes our training program (two training days are held during the week), our weekly Track & Field Competition Days, the Cross Country Winter season, Intercentre Competition days, the On-Track program (for U6s and U7s) and special event days.

 

The fee structure for the 2023/2024 Season is as follows:

• Family with 1 child = $200

• Family with 2 children = $360

• Family with 3 children = $540

• Family with 4 children = $720

• Family with 5 children = $900

 

 We don't want to see you or your families turn away from a sport we all love.  If you are experiencing financial difficulties please speak to us before you register and we will assist you in putting in place a strictly confidential payment plan tailored for you.

 

Athletes are also required to wear a club uniform which is not included in the registration fee. 

 

For athletes who wish to compete in the Region Carnivals (such as the Track & Field, Combined Event) you must register and pay separately via LAVic.  These fees are not included in the registration fee.  The fees associated with the Region Relay Carnival are also not included in the registration fee however the club is responsible for collecting these fees.

CROSS COUNTRY WINTER SEASON REGISTRATION ONLY

 

NEW MEMBERS

For new members wishing to register for the Cross Country Winter season only, the registration fee will be advised early in 2024.  

​

Athletes are required to wear a club uniform on competition days which is not included in the registration fee. 

​

Athletes who wish to compete in the Region and State Carnivals must register and pay separately via LAVic.  These fees are not included in the registration fee.

RETURNING MEMBERS

If you are a returning member, you do not have to do anything! You are automatically registered to participate in the Cross Country competition.
