TIME TO GET BACK TO THE TRACK - SUMMER TRAINING

During our Athletics Season (which runs from October to March each year) we offer two training sessions per week. 

For our registered athletes our weekly training sessions are:

* U6 to U8 athletes - training commences at 4:30pm to 5:30pm every Tuesday &             Thursday from 5 January 2021.

* U9 + athletes - training commences at 6pm to 7:30pm every Tuesday & Thursday         from 5 January 2021.

Please be on time for your training session as it is important to warm-up!

TRAINING SESSIONS

We encourage all our athletes to attend training to improve their skills, fitness levels and to foster strong friendships - and also to have fun!  Coaches use a variety of techniques, training drills and fun-based activities to help our athletes be the best that they can be! 

All our volunteer coaches have Working With Children Checks and have undertaken coaching courses run by Little Athletics Victoria. 

 

All children must have a parent/guardian present at all training sessions.  This is a mandatory requirement.

We ask for a gold coin donation at each training session to provide icy poles or fruit to athletes once each training session has finished.

PRE-SEASON TRAINING

Our pre-season training usually commences in August of each year.  Given the Stage 4 restrictions in place for the State of Victoria, pre-season training was not run for the 2020/2021 Season.  

Member and non-members are welcome to attend these pre-season training sessions. 

WINTER CROSS COUNTRY SEASON TRAINING

During our Cross Country Season (which runs from April to August each year) we offer at least two training sessions per week.  More information will be provided closer to the commencement of the Winter season.
