Who can do Little Athletics?
Craigieburn Little Athletics caters for all children from 5 to 15 years old. No matter what your skills or ability, we are all about participation and making sure you can be your best!
What are the benefits of athletics?
By participating in the sport of athletics, not only will you increase your fitness levels, you will become more flexible, develop core strength and balance. Athletics improves motor skills and running techniques. Also, the core skills taught by athletics can be adapted and applied to many other sports – such as AFL, basketball, gymnastics, soccer and even dance!
What events are offered?
We offer a variety of running events such as sprints, hurdles, relays and distance running. Our throwing events include discus, shot put and javelin (modified for youngsters). Our jumping events include high jump, long jump and triple jump. A mixture of 4 events are run on each competition day and usually consist of 2 runs, a throw and a jump.
How do I view my child’s results?
We use a program called Results HQ. Once registered you will be sent a log in and can start viewing your child’s weekly progress and achievements.
